Distribuzione

Le tre specie oggi note di questo genere sono diffuse in mwdwAfrica orientale, mweacentrale e mweqmeridionale; la F. vermiformis è mwewendemica del solo mwfaEgittocite-ref-salticidae-1-0[1].

Tassonomia

A dicembre 2010, si compone di tre speciecite-ref-salticidae-1-1[1]:

• mwiqFestucula festuculaeformis mwiw(mwjaLessert, 1925) — Africa centrale, orientale e meridionale
• mwjgFestucula lawrencei mwkaLessert, 1933 — Angola, Tanzania
• mwkgFestucula vermiformis mwlamwlqSimon, 1901cite-ref-2[2] — Egitto

Nomina dubia

• mwnqFestucula lineata mwngmwnwSimon, 1901; l'unico esemplare femminile reperito in mwoaSenegal da Simon, a seguito di uno studio dell'aracnologa mwoqWesolowska del 1992 è da ritenersi mwognomen dubium, mwowmwpacontra uno studio del biologo e aracnologo mwpqFage del 1923cite-ref-salticidae-1-2[1]
• mwqwFestucula monticola mwramwrqBerland & mwrgMillot, 1941; l'unico esemplare femminile reperito in mwrwAfrica occidentale, a seguito di uno studio dell'aracnologa Wesolowska del 1992 è da ritenersi mwsanomen dubiumcite-ref-salticidae-1-3[1]
